Cervicoplasty
Cervicoplasty is the medical term for a neck lift or neck rejuvenation procedure. A surgeon performs a cervicoplasty to address a sagging neck, platysmal banding and loose skin around the neck. There are different types of cervicoplasty. The simplest cervicoplasty involves tightening only the platysmal muscle through a small incision below the chin to improve visible muscle bands at the neck. A different cervicoplasty procedure re-drapes the excess and loose neck skin through hidden incisions behind the ears. Additional liposuction of the neck is a perfect adjunct procedure to a cervicoplasty. Other common adjunct procedures to a cervicoplasty include a facelift or laser skin rejuvenation.
Neck Recontouring
Few areas of the body cause patients as much frustration as an aging neck. In fact, the neck is often the first sign of aging in an otherwise youthful face. The muscle that covers the neck and the jaw loosens with age. With this loosening, the central aspect of the platysmal muscles separate and form two distinct bands that stretch from the chin to the lower neck. Loose skin can hang down and sway, giving the appearance of a turkey neck. The youthful sharp angle between the upper neck and undersurface of the chin becomes blunted and ill defined with age. The loose muscle and skin can make shaving difficult for men and can roll over even the best custom made dress shirts. Sometimes patients find the extra skin and floppiness uncomfortable and unsightly.
Executive Health
Executive Health Practitioner Associations are coming together to customize health programs for groups of executives and independent businesses with an objective of reducing the lost productivity time. At the core of many Executive Healthcare packages is an Executive Physical. In many instances, the doctor will travel to company facilities in order to perform a basic physical for all executive members. In others, as in the case of Elite IPA (Independent Practitioner Association), the office visit is an option, but executives are given the benefit of in-depth diagnostic treatment, which allows for an even more in-depth analysis of their health than what is typical. This level of the physical exam, given at a time that is convenient for the executive, is to have a positive impact on the bottom line.
The average wait to see a physician is 68 minutes. There is no wait with the IPA Health associates for executives. IPA works around the schedule. Nor does IPA rush the visit. The visit is complete only when all of the concerns and questions answered.
For those who prefer to communicate in writing, IPA is only an e-mail away. IPA physicians travel with hand-held e-mail devices for quick responses. Furthermore, IPA does not rush the visit. The visit is complete only when all of the concerns and questions are answered. Of course, there are times when one just wants to speak directly with the doctor on the telephone. One of the first things given to a new IPA patient is the doctor’s personal cell phone number. Wherever business or pleasure takes you, IPA is just a phone call away. Turn to IPA’s Executive Health for a complete executive physical that looks at health from all angles. True health and wellness is only achieved when there is a good understanding of the family history and personal medical history. IPA offers the latest in both non-invasive and blood-based cardiovascular screening testing. For early cancer detection, there may be reason to consider modern scanning approaches, including the PET technology. The integration of state-of-the-art cancer detection approach is a major feature of the program, as is ready access to leading specialists for preventive consultations.

Concierge medicine goes by many names, boutique medicine, retainer medicine, executive health, VIP medicine, and personalized medicine. By any name, concierge medicine is the solution for doctors trying to maintain their integrity and independence in today’s difficult healthcare environment. Concierge medicine is a new style of practice with old roots, in which doctors limit their patient base in order to provide patients with personalized service, high quality care, 24-7 availability, and other amenities. In exchange for this enhanced personal attention, patients pay physicians an annual fee. This concierge fee enables physicians to increase their compensation while managing their workload. In addition to receiving an annual fee, most concierge physicians continue to receive reimbursements from health plans and private pay clients.
Concierge medicine is a relationship between a patient and a primary care physician in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer. This may or may not be in addition to other charges. In exchange for the retainer, doctors provide enhanced care. Other terms in use include boutique medicine, retainer-based medicine, and innovative medical practice design. The practice is also referred to as membership medicine, concierge health care, cash only practice, direct care, direct primary care, and direct practice medicine. While all concierge medicine practices share similarities, they vary widely in their structure, payment requirements, and form of operation. In particular, they differ in the level of service provided and the amount of the fee charged.
